Improv

Improv is acting without a script. Improv is short for Improvisation, which means making it up as you go along, instead of following a script.

It is often funny, but sometimes serious. And sometimes, it’s wild and crazy!

Have you ever seen that show “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” That’s one kind of improv and at it’s best! But there are many styles of improv and things that go along with it.

We have started a Facebook group in Taipei called Taipei Improv Group, and will be offering workshops and performances in the future!

IMPROVISATION WORKSHOPS

We  do activities do help develop a group dynamic, establish trust and cooperation within the group, and to get to know each other, followed by improvisation games and scenarios.

These workshops will be given for various ages and types of groups, including students, and students of English as a second language, where these types of activities are particularly beneficial in helping students of English develop their ability and confidence to deal with a wider variety of speaking and communication situations.

IMPROVISATION PERFORMANCES

Once our group is established, comfortable, and confident, we will start doing perfomances, showing off our skills, and inviting audience members to join us in improv activities.

THEATER PRODUCTIONS

Eventually, we will cooperate with other creative people in developing acting and theater productions of all sorts. The goal is to encourage the ongoing development of a creative arts community.
